Editors at The Canopy Studio will provide post-shoot support on all Moving Image projects going through the studio. You’ll be working on quick turn around projects of varying scale and demand, manipulating footage into polished edits for both clients and The Canopy Studio. You will work closely with our Producers and Motion Designers to bring sound and visuals together seamlessly to tell brand stories. This role requires high levels of collaboration, attention to detail and passion for delivering striking and creative brand visuals.

We’re looking for someone with the following;

  • Careful, meticulous and detail oriented
  • Imaginative with great commercially focused storytelling skills
  • A familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
  • Un-phased by the fast paced, quick turnaround of projects post-shoot
  • A collaborative and supportive attitude
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a video Editor role for a production company or creative agency

Responsibility and skills:

  • Manipulate raw footage, input music, dialogue, graphics and effects into polished, clear, engaging and creative rough cut edits for client review and final cuts deliverables

Middlewight Digital Designer

Midweight Digital Designers at The Canopy will drive the studio’s interactive output for both our clients and our own digital projects. You’ll have a user centric approach that drives your design decision making and will be a champion of UX thinking when solving client challenges. You’ll confidently and comfortably work alongside designers and artworkers internally and with product and marketing managers externally, to deliver distinctive and effective digital design. This role requires high levels of problem solving, talent and passion for delivering on-brand visuals, adaptability and collaboration.

We’re looking for someone with the following;

  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates digital design craft and UX that follows best practices and trends
  • A passion for technology and innovation and an ability to embrace and creatively flourish using emerging digital platforms
  • A showcase of your digital design capabilities across a range of projects, showing experimentation and energy, and being able to articulate your role within these projects
  • An ability to demonstrate a clear link between your conceptual thinking and visual output
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within an in-house brand team or creative agency in a Digital Design role

Responsibility and skills:

  • Provide a digital perspective and valuable input across all stages of a project; from immersion to implementation
  • Support the client to develop engaging, authentic and original thinking digital visuals with commercial awareness

Motion Designer

Fully embracing our ‘Design Together’ ethos, Motion Designers will provide vital support for one of our most important client relationships. You will become a trusted guardian for our client’s brand, and get to know their design requirements inside-out. You’ll work alongside designers and artworkers internally and with product and marketing managers externally, to deliver distinctive, effective and on-brand motion design. This role requires high levels of problem solving, talent and passion for delivering on-brand visuals, communication and collaboration.

We’re looking for someone with the following;

  • A great reel of exciting motion graphics, demonstrating a keen eye for composition, timing and detail and the ability to work in a wide range of aesthetic styles
  • Experience in working across different brands and categories, ideally with experience working extensively on a high-profile client account
  • An ability to demonstrate a clear link between your conceptual thinking and visual output
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project / Account Management for an in-house brand team or an agency

You’ll be responsible for delving deep into each of our clients’ brands and getting a clear understanding of their business needs. You’ll initiate, debate and inspire conversations with our clients to ensure they think far beyond their current brand challenges. You’ll consistently push our clients and our team to identify new business opportunities and areas where we can offer more. This role requires the highest levels of confidence, curiosity, tenacity and leadership.

We’re looking for someone with the following;

  • Ability to confidently share your thought process with clients and colleagues in an engaging, compelling way
  • Able to quickly identify areas of strategic opportunity for our clients’ brands
  • Expert understanding and implementation of different research methodologies
  • Ability to uncover relevant and thought-provoking insight through data and trend analysis
  • Able to build solid, collaborative partnerships with client-side decision-makers and to skilfully, confidently and strategically negotiate, influencing them at a business level

  • Prepare and deliver compelling and considered discovery workshops for our clients, from market research and presentation creation to manifesto and report delivery following a client session
  • Challenge and probe clients to ensure we get the details we need at each and every stage of the brand process
